Using Colgate Toothpaste on a Burn At times, the natural treatment for something that occurs is not always going to be obvious, and it may come from a rather unusual location. A good example of this is if we burn ourselves, and although there are dozens of different things that we can do which will help to soothe the burning, something that you may not have considered is the fact that Colgate tooth paste can do so. Although you're going to hear a lot of differing opinions as far as this is concerned, a lot of people that have tried it are now singing the praises of how toothpaste is able to help them to overcome a small burn rather quickly. It's important for me to mention, however, that this is not the type of treatment that you would want to use on a severe burn or one that has the skin open in any way. If you have blisters, or if the burn is very severe, you would want to seek medical attention and not apply any type of Colgate or any other toothpaste on the area, as it could cause infection. If it is just a first degree burn, or perhaps a small sunburn that you are dealing with, the toothpaste will certainly be able to help. One reason why this is the case, is because the toothpaste has a cooling effect and this can feel very good on the skin. It helps to take some of the pain away from the burn, which is half of the battle. Nobody knows why Colgate toothpaste works in order to help you overcome the burn quickly, but many people that have tried it regularly have told me about how it is able to do so without any other problems. Some other things that you may have laying around the house which can assist you in overcoming the burn include natural honey, yogurt and apple cider vinegar. All of these, when applied to the burn can assist in helping to soothe the area and many of them also have antibacterial properties which will help to keep infection from setting in. It is just important for you to assess the situation and if the burn is severe, avoid putting anything on it at all. If it is just a small burn that comes from touching a hot pan or perhaps getting a sunburn, one of these natural treatments may be able to help.
